Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is. (Goodreads)
 Sweet baby jesus.

WOW. This book was out of this world, no pun intended. I never understood before why whenever anyone read one of Jennifer L. Armentrout's books they rushed out to buy all the rest of the books she's written.. I get it now, because thats exactly what I want to do right now!! I could not put this book down, even what I wasn't reading it, I was still thinking about it. I couldn't get enough!

While this wasn't the most original story, her writing style completely makes up for that. I loved the pacing and the characters. I found Katy to be a fantastic main character, and the fact that she was a book blogger/vlogger made her so relatable. I also loved Daemon as a love interest, I enjoyed his hot and cold personality and while I typically don't love pet names, I really liked how he called Katy Kitten, it was so cute. I also liked how he wasn't your typical bad boy or nice guy, he was a mix of both. The banter between Katy and Daemon was to die for, it always had me smiling. I also really liked Dee as a side character, though I found the friendship between her and Katy a bit random at first, it developed into an awesome one.

I really enjoyed the alien aspects of this book. I liked how the different species varied between light and shadows. I like learning the backstory of the aliens and how they came to earth, I thought the little details of their lives were really well though out.

Overall, I obviously really enjoyed this book and it will be one that I recommend to everyone. I loved everything about it, I seriously could no put it down.

I'm an alien... you're a what?

While reading about Daemon...

Every time Katy and Daemon said they didn't like each other..
5/5 Albi Cats
