Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. (Goodreads) it is folks, I finally read it. Some people will be like "5 stars Jeff? Whattttt" others, like Jamie, have already been all in my grill with "I told ya so's / YOU LOVE ROMANCE." However, I would have to be some horrible monster to have disliked this book, I mean...come on how could you? The romance I'm all like "yeah ok I get it, enough with the mushy junk." I'm more of a Max Mayhem kind of guy. BUT I might have a man crush on Augustus Waters, mainly because that name just radiates of Man and all things man, like old mahogany, Cuban cigars and aged scotch. When I think of Augustus I think of climbing Mt.Everest bare chested with nothing but a Swiss Army knife. I want to be his best friend and hope his wit rubs off on me. More seriously, huge fan of this writing style, and greatly appreciative that Mr.Green actually made these teenagers so far ahead intellectually of what is the norm of that age group. The witty banter was fabulous and did I mention Augustus? Well done Jamie, you win this round.

5/5 Carls
